‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ Season 11, News Update: Controversial Housewife Kelly Meza-Dodd Joins the Cast
With the eleventh season of 'Real Housewives of Orange County' set to air within one week, the expectations of fans are at an all time high. And to add to the excitement, here is some spicy news.
According to reports, Kelly Meza-Dodd is joining the cast for the upcoming season and given her controversial past, one can easily expect the drama quotient to go higher. If you are not aware of her claim to fame and what she has been up to, here are the details.
Kelly is a wealthy housewife and works as the COO of a company called Kiss Me Mirrors. Reports claim that she takes home over a million dollars a year. Her husband's name is Michael and he was the head of LeapFrog Enterprises in the past. The couple has one kid together and they lead a fine life in Orange County.
As for the controversy she has courted, it is about a racist remark she made during a half-drunken interview with TMZ, outside a club in Hollywood. The housewife said that she does not like black guys and does not even know them. She even said that she is available despite being married.
And ever since the video came out in the open, it has been generating a lot of heat with Kelly receiving brickbats from all quarters, for uttering the racist remarks. Despite clarifying that she was not being racist but just responding to the query if she dated black guys, it has gone against her.
The public apology and social media defense do not seem to be enough to do damage control as her fellow cast member Heather Dubrow has openly expressed her displeasure. She categorically said that anyone who uses racial slur or has racism of any kind, has no business in her life or anyone else's life that she knows.
Well, looks like this racism card will be used against her when she enters the show and it won't be an easy ride for Kelly at all.
