Last season of 'The Walking Dead' ended with a cliffhanger but it also left loose ends with regard to Carol, after she left Alexandria. And now that season 7 is being filmed, fans are wondering what would happen to their favorite character.

But there is good news as actress Melissa McBride aka Carol has spoken at length about her character. She talked about Carol's strength and her evolution over the seasons. And going by her account, it seems Carol will return in the upcoming season and that too in a better state.

The actress said that Carol's evolution to the present stage has been because of all the experiences the writers have given her. She also acknowledged that she has grown with her character and said that she relates with the events that happened to her. She emphasized that the memory of Sophia and the children are very close to her.

She also talked about one particular line of hers in season 6 where she says out loud that her faith got her through the death of her daughter. She admitted that it left many fans confused but said that was indicative of good writing for an actor as she did not have to scramble as to what the character was thinking, while saying the line.

Well, carol has been one of the most prominent characters on the show. Viewers have seen and admired her journey which began as a scared housewife, who was beaten by her husband. However, she took things in her hands after his death, doing everything she could to survive and protect her daughter Sophia, who was later found as a zombie.

The incident affected her deeply but it also strengthened her. Of course, she is facing some mental issues at present but rumors are rife that she will return in season 7 with Morgan. The duo will be taken in by The Kingdom, the new group, which will fight with Alexandria and Hilltop Colony against the Saviors.

So, fans of Carol must keep faith as the fighter woman hasn't given up yet.
