According to recent reports, season 9 finale titled, "The Convergence Convergence," revealed Penny and Leonard in another round of their wedding ceremony so that they could exchange their vows in presence of their family and friends. Previously, the couple got married in Las Vegas and none of their close friends or family members could witness the exchange of vows in person.

In season 9 finale, the viewers were shown Leonard's parents, Alfred and Beverly. His parents had separated years ago as Leonard's mother spotted his father cheating on her with another woman. At the same ceremony, Sheldon's mother, Mary Cooper, is also invited. However, she doesn't get along very well with Beverly Hofstader due to different beliefs.

But at the same time, Mary is seen bonding with Alfred, Leonard's father, due to their mutual dislike for Beverly. They are also seen headed back home sooner than others as they were staying at the same hotel.

Despite all the confusion, season 10 will show Penny and Leonard conclude their second wedding ceremony. There are also speculations that Sheldon will ask Amy to marry him in Season 10. Also, the fans might also see Bernadette and Howard become proud parents of their first child together.

Meanwhile, there are also rumors that "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 may be the last one. Steve Moralo, the showrunner, claimed in a statement in December 2015 that Season 10 has the makings of being the end point of the show. He also added, "I don't know and all I can do right now is go episode to episode and try to make each one the best that we can." Nothing has been confirmed about this so far.
