You can see a major death in "The Force Awakens", and it will make a big impact throughout the galaxy in "Star Wars: Episode 8." In a recent interview with The Big Issue, one of the cast members, Daisy Ridley, mentions the death as well as fans' reactions.

Han Solo (Harison Ford), a big star in the series, is killed by his own son, who calls himself Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). His death is viewed by his best friend Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) and new characters Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega).

"If everybody puts a piece of themselves into Han Solo and Han Solo dies - in the cinema, where it's dark - you can express it, and it alleviates some of the pain," Ridley says in a recent interview.

"His death is obviously not as important as actual lives that are lost, but people probably use it as some kind of carrier for the grief."

Ridley explains why some fans gave an emotional response to the death and says that watching something like a scene is not the same as reading a news report or studying some facts.

Han Solo has been a tall figure since the release of the first movie in 1977. His role was significant in defeating the Empire, and he was seen as a hero by the Rebel army. Now his death will make an impact across the galaxy in the current "Star Wars: Episode 8."

In the forthcoming film, there is the whisper of a very emotional scene. The funeral will be the region where everyone will discuss politics, hence the impact of the death will have major repercussions through the galaxy.

Much of the filming of "Star Wars: Episode 8", directed by Rian Johnson, is almost complete. It is expected to hit the cinemas on Dec. 15, 2017
