Kpop News: Jellyfish Entertainment confirms I.O.I’s Kim Sejeong and Kang Mina as the first girl group to debut

On June 7, Jellyfish Entertainment announces that I.O.I's Kim Sejeong and Kang Mina will be debuting in their new girl group. This was confirmed through the label's official homepage.

The agency stated that trainees Kim Sejeong and Kang Mina will be going back to their own agency as they already wrapped up their debut promotions of the temporary girl group IOI. The girl group announced their completion of their debut promotion after the Dream Concert held on June 4.

Jellyfish Entertainment also states, "We discussed a lot about when Kim Sejeong and Kang Mina would join our girl group. The result was that Kim Sejeong and Kang Mina would join their fellow trainees, who have trained together for many years toward one dream, in order that they get one step closer to that dream."

The first girl group of Jellyfish Entertainment will debut sometime in June. The complete line-up of the group, name of the girl group, concepts, and specific debut date will be officially announced soon.

Jellyfish Entertainment is home to soloists Park Hyo-shin, Park Yoon-ha, Seo In-guk, and Sung Si-kyung, as well as boy group VIXXand their sub-unit VIXX LR. The agency also manages a number of actors such as Julien Kang, Park Jung-ah, Choi Ji-na and Park Jung-soo.
