Why Are Princesses Eugenie And Beatrice Frosty To Princess Kate?
Things are never royal for the royals. Princess Kate Middleton is not exactly too close to Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, Sarah Ferguson's girls and cousin of her husband, Prince William's.
There were "chilly looks" thrown her way from the cousins at a Buckingham Palace garden party in May 2016.
Kate Middleton looked lovely in a fitted cream Alexander McQueen coat dress, says the grapevine. Even Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice looked pretty in floral and printed dresses. All three of them wore riveting hats and high heels that went beautifully with their outfits.
The descriptions of their clothes are as colourful as their appearances. Princess Eugenie wore an abstract print full skirt with matching collared jumper. Her shoes were monochrome heels, unusual for a royal member. Their hats were by Sarah Cant and their bags were by Stacey Chan. Kate wore an elegant hat to match her coat, as well as beige bag and shoes.
The elegant, beautiful Duchess of Cambridge has thrown quite a number of royal members into some flutter. Since they began to date, the royal couple began to stir some concern and worry in the high circles.
The princesses' supporters whisper that at the party, everyone made a fuss of William and Kate, but not Beatrice and Eugenie. Though they mingled with all the guests, the York Princesses did not interest too many people.
As three separate garden parties were held, the girls felt that they should have been given some chance to shine at least at one, instead of having been left behind. However, they felt snubbed, especially as Kate took solo engagements with the Queen during the Diamond Jubilee.
There are some supporters for the royal princesses though. "Meanwhile, Kate Middleton, whose sole job is to be a royal and make those appearances, aside from producing heirs, seems to do as little as possible yet thinks herself better than those hardworking princesses who are the only royal blood princesses of their generation," one source explains.
