James Bond Rumors: Will Daniel Craig Give Way To An Unknown British Actor?
Daniel Craig will not be in the James Bond franchise, which has opened the door for a new 007. A number of other star names have already entered the firmament, with Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender and Damian Lewis in the rumour list. Others like Jamie Bell too is on the list, even though he is not in Hollywood.
But it is quite possible that someone totally unexpected will be featured, as Sam Mendes, who directed "Skyfall" and "Spectre," explained. Longtime Bond producer Barbara Broccoli might opt for a totally new actor.
Could it be 39-year-old actor Wayne Devlin? He has been seen meeting Broccoli twice recently. Devlin is a "method actor" from Manchester who is said to be "not too dissimilar to the original Bond, Sean Connery, which they really like."
Devlin is totally unknown, with a few uncredited roles listed on his IMDB page. He has no experience and he looks different too.
Devlin may have met Broccoli, though the long-time Bond producer may be going in another direction. Even as the casting begins, so do the rumour mills.
