The filming of the popular horror drama series 'American Horror Story' is underway and the sixth season is expected to start airing from the end of this year.
According to reports, Jessica Lange, the Emmy-winning actress, who appeared in four seasons of the series and had everyone floored with her powerhouse performances, is not returning to the sixth season. The 67-year-old actress has chosen to skip the upcoming season and the reason is that she has another assignment.
Jessica will be seen in a Broadway play. It is being said that the schedule of the series and her play were not in tandem and she chose the latter over the former. However, showrunner Ryan Murphy has said that she will be back in the series and they are trying to figure out a solution so her schedule can be accommodated.
But, looks like Jessica is in no mood to return, despite having a successful run. The actress has stated that she has had enough of "American Horror Story" and the four seasons she starred in have proven to be plenty. She also acknowledged her four roles as being marvelous.

All her roles were different and garnered her huge praise from fans and critics alike. She won two Emmy Awards, one Screen Actors Guild Award and one Golden Globe Award for her superb performances.
As for the Season 6 cast, it will have Lady Gaga, who made her debut on the last season "Hotel" and won accolades for the same. Denis O'Hare, Evan Peters and Angela Bassett have been also confirmed, but their roles are still under shrouds.
The sixth season is expected to debut by the fall of 2016 and it will have references to the first season "Murder House". Christine Estabrook will reprise her role of Marcy- the realtor who sold the haunted home to Harmons.
