Game of Thrones writer George R R Martin has offered to screen "The Interview" , the movie canned by Sony, at his independent theater in Santa Fe in New Mexico.

Writing in his blog "Not a Blog' under the entry Corpora Cowardice, he says, " I mean, really?  REALLY??  These gigantic corporations, most of which could buy North Korea with pocket change, are declining to show a film because Kim Jong-Un objects to being mocked? "

He says there are hundreds of independent theater chains willing to screen the movie and Sony should have considered the route rather than cancelling the movie. He wrties it is cowardice and says movies like Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator would not have seen the light of day, if the actor-director had acted sacred. "If Kim Jong-Un scares them, Adolf Hitler would have had them sh**ting in their smallclothes," he adds.

Sony decided to cancel the shows of the Seth Rogan, James Franco starrer "The Interview" after hackers threatened to blow up any theatres showing the movie. In a letter posted on Sony computers they wrote:

"We will clearly show it to you at the very time and places The Interview be shown, including the premiere, how bitter fate those who seek fun in terror should be doomed to Soon all the world will see what an awful movie Sony Pictures Entertainment has made. The world will be full of fear.

"Remember the 11th of September 2001. We recommend you to keep yourself distant from the places at that time. (If your house is nearby, you'd better leave.)," they added.

The hackers calling themselves Guardians of Peace hacked into Sony's office computers compromising employee private data, internal correspondence, client information and screenplays and unreleased movies.

The movie is about two bungling journalists who are hired by spy agencies to assassinate a South East Asian dictator, apparently hinting at Kim Jong Un.
