Kpop News: iKON releases their newest single
The rookie by group iKON is back with their smooth and catchy track "What You Doing".
On May 30 at midnight (KST), iKON dropped their newest single with Music Video. After YG Entertainment teases the group's image, they finally revealed a different genre of music that iKON can offer. After wrapping up their series of promotions for their debut album "Welcome Back" that was released at the end of last year, this newest single is another kickoff of the group's music.
iKON's "WYD" displays their soothed and relaxing side of the group's image, unlike their past releases, they showcase a sleeker and settle rhythm. The lyrics have been arranged by iKON's Bobby and B.I featuring Kush. The production of the album is being polished and produced by YG's producers CHOICE37. Check their MV below!
Aside from preparing for iKON's newest track, the group has been busy with their "iKONCERT 2016 SHOWTIME TOUR." They have been meeting a lot of fans within their tour in Asia. The tour visited South Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. It started on 30 and 31 January 2016 in Seoul at Olympic Gymnastics Arena as their debut concert, they successfully gathered 24,000 fans in total attendance. Their next tour will be in Shenzhen, China on June 3, to be followed by Shanghai on June 11. iKON will wrap up their Asian tour within the second half of the year in Malaysia and Indonesia.
They made their debut in 2015 but the members were well known as Team B pre-debut due to the survival shows "Win: Who Is Next" which was aired in 2013 and "Mix & Match" which was aired in 2014.
As of March 2016, the group has sold over 210,000+ physical albums and more than 3.6 million of digital records.
