Miami Heat Rumors: Team Hoping For Chris Bosh's Return In Next Season
New emerging reports seem to suggest that Miami Heat is aiming to get Chris Bosh return to active roster in the next season following a long absence that characterized much of his 2015-16 season.
Dan Le Batard has a number of insider sources within the Miami Heat and many of the news churned out from various media outfits can be traced back to him. Last time, he said there were indications that the Heat may force or strongly convince Chris Bosh to consider an early or medical retirement following his blood clot saga. Now, there are sources suggesting that the franchise is hopeful to have Bosh return to active gameplay and give the team its much needed boost next season.
"I just got a text saying that Bosh should be able to play next season. So, the Heat expect Bosh to be able to play next season. What I'm telling you is that Bosh is committed to getting back, and the Heat are hopeful that that can be so," said Le Batard as quoted in a report by SB Nation.
According to Sports Rageous, Chris Bosh is not medically fit which prevented him from participating in the playoffs following a highly mysterious and seemingly career-ending blood clot injury. Unfortunately for the Heat, Bosh is still signed in to a $23 million deal until the 2016-17 NBA season.
If the medically embattled athlete gets a green light from a majority of doctors, it will be a comforting news for Miami Heat considering that it will be seriously difficult to get a more suitable replacement for him in the team. The team could still waive the contract with Bosh to free some cap space but franchise would have to wait until Feb. 9, 2017 to do that as per NBA rules.
Meanwhile, former NBA player Bo Kimble offered an unsolicited advice to Bosh to seriously think about retiring while remembering how his late Loyola Marymount teammate Hank Gathers succumbed to blood clot.
"There are so many other things he could do with his life. Hank Gathers had the same thing, Hank could have been a comedian, and actor or did speaking engagements. It's not worth the risk. I would just say absolutely not, don't do it," Kimble said as quoted in report by Heat Nation.
