The Android N release is getting closer though Samsung Galaxy owners might have to wait awhile for the company to roll out its version of Google's upcoming operating system. Earlier this year, Google confirmed the next version of Android.

Android N is currently in beta ahead of a public release that's expected to take place, for Nexus phones and tablets, sometime this summer. Android N doesn't have an official name yet, Google is asking the public to help name it, but it does have a nice list of confirmed features.While some companies (like HTC) have announced plans to bring Android N and its impressive set of features to market, companies like Samsung remain silent.

Samsung hasn't confirmed anything but it's clear the company is planning Android N updates for its line of Galaxy devices. No surprise there. According to SamMobile, Samsung is planning to release Android N for several well-known devices including the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, and Galaxy Note 5.The site also claims the company will push out Android N to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, one of its newer slates.These devices will reportedly be first in line to Google's new operating system.
