The trailer of 'Beauty and the Beast,' a live remake of the legendary Disney classic, has become the most viewed teaser in a 24 hour period. Fans have been mesmerized by the prowess of Emma Watson, and the elegance and aura that she carries with her.
Casting her in the remake of the Disney animated classic was one of the best decisions taken by the Disney team as she is capable of performing much beyond the script, and attracting the attention of millions of fans across the globe by her presence. She would definitely be one of the most sought for actress when the 'Beauty and the Beast' airs in theatres.
It just took a mere 24 hours for the trailer to outshine the previous best and the most watched trailers including the likes of Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, which amazed a total of 88 million views. Apart from that, the 'Beauty and the Beast' trailer with 91.8 million views has also surpassed Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Age of Ultron with 55 and 34 million views respectively.
Emma's appearance and role in the trailer was limited - still her magnetic personality was sufficient enough to attract millions of fans and followers. Her 33.1 million followers on Facebook and 21.8 million in Twitter explain the major source of the 91.8 million views that the trailer received. And, the same has been acknowledged by Disney as well.
The trailer throws a lot of light on the story which is more involved than it may appear - starting with an abandoned palace with a vibrant rose providing warmth to the castle. The Enchanted Rose was used to curse the prince who plays the beast and persuades Emma (Belle) to stay with him. Emma then learns of the curse and realizes that she can save the prince.
On the contrary, Emma has faced a lot of challenges in her real life as the Panama papers blaming her of hiding her wealth in tax havens to evade taxes. There are other dignified celebrities in the list too. Despite all these tremors in real life, the 'Beauty and the Beast' is all set to hit the theaters on March 17, 2017.
