Late Late Show News Update: Hilarious Sketch Has Chewbacca Mom Annoy James Corden
The recent video of a Texas mom wearing a Chewbacca mask has hit the social media with a total of 140 million views on Facebook. However, not many among them were aware of the fact that James Corden was trying for a lift to work in the process.
As per a sketch on Corden's 'Late Late Show,' Candace Payne - referred to as Chewbacca Mom - is seen to enjoy and play around with her mask while the host Corden was seated in the passenger seat irritated for getting late to the show.
Corden was seen pleading to the chauffeur to hurry up as he was getting late for the show, but Payne, on the other hand, was merry with her toy laughing in glory which in turn added to the irritation of the host.
To increase on the humor of the situation, J.J. Adams, the director of Star Wars, appreciated Payne's Wookiee impression with the mask on. Corden, who was till then annoyed by the experience, joined in the fun then. He then calmed down and sat with Payne, a mother of two based out of Dallas, wherein she explained as to why did she made the video and how it helped her gain immense and instant popularity on the social media.
She claimed that despite spending most of the times with kids and the immense love that she has for them, she wanted to emphasize on the fact that she bought the mask for herself and not for her kids as she is aware that once her kids see the mask, they would surely take it from her.
The video was trending on social media instantly with 1000 views barely in any time. The number of views increased to 20 million the next day. Corden, however, was impressed and he surprised her with a personal message from Peter Mayhew, who wore the mask in Star Wars. He appreciated the video and the joyful nature of the lady, and invited her to his next fan expo.
