Actor Park Hae Jin to lead in the film adaptation of the webtoon series “Cheese in the trap”

Since the wrapping up of the Korean drama "Cheese in the trap", the webtoon series has been also reportedly taking its step to be a film.

And on May 24, "Cheese In the trap" was confirmed to be a joint financed of Korean-Chinese production. The production company Mountain Movement Story stated, "After numerous debates regarding the creation of webtoon 'Cheese in the Trap' as a movie, we've come to a decision to produce 'Cheese in the Trap' as a Korean-Chinese film" as allkpop quoted.  

The film and drama production company also reportedly signed a contract with the original creator 'Soon Ki' of the webtoon series "Cheese in the trap".

Park Hae Jin, the lead role of the drama series has been confirmed also to take the role in the film adaption of the series.

Meanwhile, the female lead role wasn't confirmed yet. Many fans are still hoping that Kim Go Eun and the rest of the characters of the drama series will make it again together with Park Hae Jin in the adaptation.

 The film adaptation of "Cheese in the Trap" is set to begin its filming early next year and is targeting for a summer release in 2017.

Cheese in the Trap is a South Korean television series based on the webtoon of the same name serialized on Naver from 2010 to present and stars Park Hae-jin, Kim Go-eun and Seo Kang-joon. It aired on cable network tvN on Mondays and Tuesdays for 16 episodes from 4 January 2016 to 1 March 2016. The ending is original since the webtoon on which it is based had not been completed at the time of filming.

This drama series shows the delicate relationship between a female university student Hong Seol (Kim Go-eun) and her senior Yoo Jung (Park Hae-jin). Hong Seol does part-time jobs since her household is poor while Yoo Jung is perfect with good academics and athletics, plus he is kind. However, Yoo Jung also seems to have a dark side with some people holding grudges against him.
