Dancing With The Stars News Update: Finalist, Ginger Zee May Not Appear For The Finale, Due to Injury
The highly awaited finale of Dancing with the Stars is approaching and everyone is eagerly waiting to find out who the winner of the Season 22 will be. Ginger Zee, who is a popular meteorologist for Good Morning America is one of the finalists this season.
The finale is reportedly divided into two parts, the first being where the dance couples will be seen showcasing the best of their abilities one last time. The second part would follow on Tuesday.
Ginger has been at the receiving end of approbations given her continuous improvement throughout the show.
However the injury which she has sustained in the preceding week seems to have posed a threat to her participation in the finale.
It is being said that she had injured her pelvis during rehearsals. Although it has been said that the mobility in her pelvis, is owing her recent pregnancy.
The camera blocking for Monday night's finale is done on Sunday. Therefore Jenna Johnson is reportedly filling in for Ginger during this time.
At present, Ginger's ability to perform remains ambiguous. Ginger and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy were scheduled to perform contemporary and freestyle dance forms during the finale.
However, it is being claimed that the doctors have advised her to refrain from a couple of movements.
The three finalists who will be seen competing for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy alongside Ginger are Nyle DiMarco and Paige VanZant.
Dancing with the Stars was first aired in 2005 and is inspired by the British show, "Strictly Come Dancing".
Tom Bergeron has been the host for DWTS throughout its run. The jury, which consists of Carrie Innaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli have also been with the show since the beginning too. The show has received nominations for 122 awards and has been awarded 14 Primetime Emmy's.
