Fast And Furious 8 News and Updates: Charlize Theron Will Be a Fierce Villain in Next Movie Installment
Charlize Theron is reportedly playing a fierce villain role for the upcoming eighth installment of the highly successful cars-n-stunt franchise Fast and Furious which was announced on the official Fast and Furious Twitter account.
On the franchise's official Twitter account, the picture showed the 40-year-old actress sporting a ponytail hairstyle in a Metallica T-shirt with some automatic rifles nearby. Vin Diesel also shared tidbits of what to expect from Theron's 'bad ass' character in the movie.
"Cipher, her character, is forcing Dom in to a place we have not seen. I first imagined her joining our saga back in 2012 when we were filming 'Fast 6' in London, but life has a way of dictating when your vision is manifested and this chapter proves to be the perfect time," Diesel said as quoted in a report by Business Standard.
"Wait until you meet Cipher, of all her films you have never seen this character she has created... She has truly brought her A game to this saga and we are all grateful for it."
From Diesel's words, Cipher is made out of an entire different villain stuff being deemed as one of Toretto-led crew's greatest adversaries they have ever faced in the franchise. The protagonists usually encounter the likes of crime lords, gun-for-hire experts, and ex-military operatives. Theron's character is just a different species. She even revealed that she doesn't do much driving in the film which leaves a puzzling question as to how her character will actually play out in the movie.
"I feel like that gang's got the driving, like, down," Theron said, Entertainment Online reported. "Like, they have, like, a really good thing going. I don't know if I need to step in in that department. I might have to step in in a different department."
The Mad Max: Fury Road actress will join the cast as the adversarial character named Cipher together with Fast and Furious 8 veterans like Vin Diesel, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson. The Game of Thrones actress Nathalie Emmanuel will reprise her role as the hot computer nerd-chick and elite hacker Ramsey. Another confirmed newcomer is Scott Eastwood, son of Western films icon Clint Eastwood. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray and expected to hit the theaters on April 14, 2017.
