DJ Calvin Harris Got Caught In Los Angeles Crash But Escaped With Minor Injuries
Scottish musician Calvin Harris, who is among the top-earning DJs of the world suffered minor injuries in a car crash in Los Angeles and had to be hospitalised, according to the cops Saturday.
The 32-year-old was travelling in sports utility vehicle late Friday when he got struck by a car crossing the center line, Los Angeles police spokeswoman Norma Eisenman explained.
The driver of a Volkswagen Beetle crossed over the divider and hit the SUV carrying the 32-year-old DJ.
Eisenman explained that Harris has been released from the hospital.
Another passenger in an oncoming car got thrown out of the vehicle and underwent a broken pelvis, but no life-threatening injuries.
The record producer featured in the 2015 Forbes magazine list of top-earning DJs who had an estimated $66 million in annual income. Beginning last year, he was spotted dating Taylor Smith and automatically had a rise in his popularity too!
His Facebook page explains that he was being driven to the airport. "Adam's transport was involved in a collision this evening on the way to the airport. As a result, he will be unable to perform at Omnia tonight. He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days."
His performance Friday night at the Omnia nightclub in Las Vegas had been scheduled, according to the website for the venue for the showman's performance. He cancelled his appearance as well as a show scheduled for Saturday night at the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, according to his spokeswoman Dvora Englefield. She confirmed that he had suffered some minor injuries.
Harris' top recordings included "We Found Love" and "Summer." The top singer worked with others like Rihanna and Ne-Yo while his 2014 album "Motion" hit the top of U.S. dance charts.
