Marilyn Hartman, a 62-year-old woman serial stowaway was sentenced Wednesday to 177 days in jail after she violated her probation of staying away from the Los Angeles International Airport.

Nearly a week ago, LAX officials found Hartman trying to sneak into a Southwest Airlines from San Jose. She was placed on  24 months of probation after pleading no contest for charges of willfully and unlawfully entering the city as a stowaway on an aircraft, a misdemeanor.

Los Angeles County Superior Court stated Wednesday that a day after Hartman was put on probation; she was tracked by the police at the airport. It seems she sneaked in and wandered around the airport for hours prior to her arrest, reports The Los Angeles Times.

Alan Rubin of Los Angeles Superior Court reprimanded Hartman for her behavior and wasting time of the law enforcement authorities at the LAX, the world's sixth busiest airport. "Recently we had shootings here, somebody killed here at LAX. There have been in the past bombing attempts," Rubin said, reports the Associated Press. "I want and I intend to have police resources to be used in those kinds of matters. Not this."

Larissa Cesareo, Hartman's public defender, made no immediate comments after the arrest.

Last Wednesday, Hartman told reporters outside the LA courthouse that she had "made a mistake" sneaking into the San Jose Airport. She also said that she had just $4.25 in her "piggy-bank" and had no clue how to get back.

Earlier, she had told the police at she had cancer and wanted to go to Hawaii to enjoy the warm weather. But, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe, said she was a cancer survivor and was now free of the disease. Moreover, she had no evidence of mental illness, he said.

Prior to the incidences, Hartman attempted to stowaway at least six times to board other planes at the San Francisco International Airport.
