Amy Schumer-Goldie Hawn Comedy ‘Mother/Daughter’ To Cast Ike Barinholtz
The 20th Century Fox comedy pairing Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer is all set to cast Ike Barinholtz as a co-star in the movie, Mother/Daughter. Barinholtz will be playing the role of Schumer's brother in the movie.
Mother/Daughter.has been scripted by Kate Dippold, who based the story on her relationship with her mother. The film is being directed by Jonathan Levine. The film also stars Oscar Jaenada and Christopher Meloni.
Barinholtz has been keeping busy of late. The actor also co-stars in the Warner Bros' upcoming movie, Suicide Squad. In addition, on the acting side, he is returning to Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising by Universal. The American comedy film opens this Friday.
Barinholtz is also working as a producer opposite Liam Neeson on Peter Landesman's biopic dubbed Felt. Apart from acting and production, Barinholtz has co-written the script for Warner Bros comedy, Central Intelligence. David Stassen is the other co-writer and the movie, which is scheduled to hit the box office next month, stars Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson.
Currently, Barinholtz is writing a script for Universal's Balls, which already had Amy Poehler aboard. Apart from this, Barinholtz is co-writing and co-producing Hulu's The Mindy Project.
Mother/Daughter is, on the other hand, Hawn's first project since her role in the movie The Banger Sisters in 2002. In the team, Schumer is also acting as an executive producer and also helped with the additional script work. Daria Cercek, on the other hand, is overseeing the work on behalf of Fox.
Schumer's Trainwreck raked in $110 million domestically and $28million internationally. The movie's screenplay was also nominated for the Writer's Guild Award.
