Nobody knows much about "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," which is the first" non-saga entry" into the "Star Wars" series. Some information has been released about a few of the new main characters.

Some of the information has been given by Making Star Wars via the upcoming "Rogue One: the Official Visual Story Guide" book which disclosed the "highly skilled soldiers, fierce warriors, Rebel Alliance captains, enforcer droids, and freelance assassins" in the film.

Fans can gear up to see technology, ships and remote galaxy gadgets---an exciting treat for those who like science fiction. There are going to be some new characters in the "Star Wars" debut in "Rogue One," along with more well-known faces.

Some of the characters include Jryn Erso (Felicity Jones), Director Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn), Captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), K-250 the Enforcer Droid (Alan Tudyk), Baze (Jiang Wen), Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed), Chirrut (Donnie Yen) and Bistain (alien creature). Mads Mikkelsen's character (Jyn's father) is not mentioned at all in the report. Hence, many fans believe that he can be seen in the film only through flashbacks.

While the report treats us to some information on Jyn's crew and potential cameos of long-lost characters, it also strengthens the suspicion that Tudyk will be role-playing a motion-capture character.

Those who want to know more can preorder "Rogue One: The Official Visual Story Guide" now.

"Rogue One: A Stars Story," directed by Gareth Edwards ("Godzilla"), will hit the theaters on Dec. 16.
