‘Quantico’ Season 1, Finale Review and News Update: ‘Yes’ Brings Joy for Alex and Sets her up for a Bigger Assignment
Finally the curtains went down on Quantico's first season and yes, our beloved Alex was exonerated. What is more, the next season will see her working for the CIA, in all probability.
'Yes' was in every right, the right kind of episode for the finale as the narrative completely held viewer's attention. The starting moments had events showing Liam's plan and then stopped at Miranda lying on the floor, bruised and bleeding.
Further, the camera zoomed to the graduation day ceremony at Quantico where a class of NATs is about to pass out. And then it moves to the dormitory where Miranda has been taken hostage by Liam who intends to detonate the nuclear bomb.
On the other hand, Alex finds out that Liam is the terrorist. She arrives at Quantico and together with Ryan manages to hunt him down. Liam catches Ryan off guard and holds him at gunpoint while telling them that he wants to cleanse the FBI and restart it according to his plans.
Afterwards, he tries to shoot Alex and abandons Ryan. But the lover duo gets the better of him and he is shot dead. But the danger is still far from over as the nuclear bomb is ticking. They realize that it cannot be stopped and it leaves them flustered.
But Simon arrives in the mean time, takes it along with him and drives off in a car. In a heroic style, he plunges the car into a lake and bids goodbye to everyone. The bomb explodes inside the lake and everyone is saved.
At his funeral, everyone is sad and then Alex tells Claire that she knows she helped Liam in some way. After that viewers see her reconciling with Ryan. She is happy and taking a run near her home when a guy named Matthew Keyes approaches her inside an SUV.
He tells her the CIA wants to compensate her for the mistreatment at the hands of the FBI and asks her if she would join CIA. At this point, the finale comes to an end.
