Angelina Jolie Hires Cybersecurity Experts to ‘Monitor’ Children’s Social Media Accounts

Angelina Jolie, the "Tomb raider" actress, isn't really a tech-savvy person and prefers writing things down rather than posting on social media websites. However, her children - just like others kids - are very much into technology and to keep them safe from the threats of the internet, Jolie has hired cyber security experts to keep a check on their accounts.

For People magazine's weekly cover story, Jolie revealed that she was "old school" when it came to using technology and added that husband Brad Pitt isn't that active on the web as well.

"It's so beyond what we understand. We wouldn't even know what to look for," Jolie said of their social-media handicap.

However, since she has growing-up children who are as much into social media as the entire generation, she says:

"We have someone who monitors that," adding that "It's a scary new world."

Jolie said that the cyber security team monitors all content that the children post online to save them from getting into trouble.

When asked if she would have used social media when she was a child, Jolie said:

"I got in enough trouble. It just would have been very documented."

Even though Jolie doesn't use social media, she became a victim of a cyber attack that hackers recently made on Sony Pictures. The hackers exposed private and confidential emails between some top executives of the company and producer who ridiculed Jolie and called her a "minimally talented spoiled brat."

Jolie hasn't commented on the issue yet.
