SanDisk’s flash drives for iPhone and iPads
So as am writing this myself I didn't know that SanDisk had iXpand Flash Drive for iPhones and iPads. This is partly due to the reason about how there is a lack of exposure for the same. People including myself have been wondering about the move Apple undertakes to sell devices with 16GB internal storage whereas this is totally avoided by other manufacturers who start their storage options from 32GB and even 64GB.
But however, the way Apple's marketing campaign works is now slowly starting to see the light. Because devices like these can be bought for less expensive price since these will cost you around half the money you pay for Apple to use the same storage size. After the launch of the original iXpand last year, SanDisk has now introduced the better and updated version of the iXpand.
The company seems to have gone back to the drawing board with all the feedback that was given at the launch of the first version. As a result, there is a newer variant with slimness in the new hardware and also there is a much-improved software that can also initiate faster transfer speeds. They are priced at Rs. Around 60$ for 16GB and 100$ for 32GB along with 120$ for 64GB and 150$ for 128GB storage capacity and SanDisk are also offering a two-year warranty.
SanDisk clearly have decided to change at least something and hence have undertaken a redesignwith bringing out a better looking and of course slimmer and pocketable than the previous one. The new iXpand is shaped like a regular USB drive with a loop. It comes with a full-size USB Type A 3.0 at one end and the lightning connector at the other. The USB Type A that can be plugged into laptops and desktops, curves around to a lightning jack that can be connected to the iPad and iPhone to transfer files.
