Holly Madison, A Playboy Bunny, Reveals Dark Secrets of the Playboy Mansion
Holly Madison said in a recent interview that "there was a lot of fear" when you live at the mansion. She also revealed that living there for seven years made her fight a lot of intrinsic struggles. Holly unveiled how she lived in fear and overcame her insecurities as she lived as one of the many playboy bunnies at the mansion.
"It was a constant struggle," Holly Madison said about her life with ex-boyfriend, Hugh Hefner. "I was trying to sell this image of 'Oh everything is so great here,' but I was miserable inside. The Mansion is all about conformity and judgment and following the rules."
She also said that it was not the best place for a girl to boost her self confidence. One of the things that was emotionally taxing was the struggle to stay on top so that she could maintain her spot inside the mansion.
"I didn't like being a clone," Holly Madison added. "That was definitely something that bothered me the whole time. But the Mansion wasn't a place where confidence was built. It was a place where manipulation was used to keep everyone scrambling to keep her spot in the house."
Now that she is not a part of the mansion anymore, she is happily married to Pasquale Rotella and has a three-year-old daughter, Rainbow. She is also pregnant with a baby boy. She wrote a memoire in which Madison narrated her experience inside Playboy Mansion. She describes her ordeal in her book, "Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny.
Even though Holly Madison's ambition is to make her book one of the biggest links inside the Playboy Mansion, it has been criticized by Hugh Hefner in his interview with US Weekly. He said in the interview that he always respected Holly at the mansion.
"Sadly, there are a few who have chosen to rewrite history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight," Hugh Hefner said. "I guess, as the old saying goes: You can't win 'em all!"
