‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Finale Spoilers, News & Update: Will Nina Dobrev Return to the Show?

According to the Season 7 spoilers of "the Vampire Diaries," Elena Gilbert will return to the show's finale episode and will be found by Damon Salvatore in the Vault. The first person to open the vault in the Armory will Dalton St. John, grandfather of Alex St. John (Mouzam Makkar). As mysterious Dalton steps out of the vault as a soulless killer, it was sealed shut and left another St. John stuck inside.

Fans are speculating that there is evil inside the vault in The Armory. The show spoilers suggest that the seal of the vault will be broken by Damon Salvatore and Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley).

Even though Elena Gilbert will return to the show, Damon Salvatore is said to exit the show the show as he sacrifices his life to save Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham). Damon and Stefan Salvatore must kill the all the Eight Everlastings to help Bonnie Bennett and his friends. Damon will inch closer to the vault to ensure that Stefan is able to reach the Everlasting and kill it while Damon is struggling with a mysterious entity.

As Damon heads down the vault, he encounters the whispers that everyone hears as they go inside the Armory. However, what makes this episode the season finale is the look on Damon's face as he mutters "Elena."

According to the show creator, Julie Plec, the finale will be about modifying two central characters. These two characters, as fans speculate, that will go through a major change are Damon and Stefan Salvatore.
