Now, an app for the iOs devices can eventually alert their users if their devices are being compromised in terms of security lapses. System and security info which incepted over the weekend in Apple's App Store, provides a host of details about your iPhone.

The app also apparently shows your CPU, memory and disk usage as well as a list of all running processes. On the security front, it can also caution you if your device has been compromised or possibly infected by any malware. The app has been designed in such a way that's easy to understand even by the most non-tech savvy users.

A green light next to a specific item means you're in the clear. A red light indicates that your device is very much critical of security issues. The app will also let you know if the device has been jailbroken which is actually useful if you in fact haven't had it jailbroken but had lent it to someone and the aftermaths of it were jailbreaks. A jailbroken device typically behaves like another android device where you can pretty much install apps outside the Apple app store and also most paid apps work as free due to the fact that jailbroken devices can pretty much bypass the authentication factor in their iPhones. Jailbroken devicesare more susceptible to malware due to the fact that they can bypass Apple's intense security clearance.

Apple, Google and other software makers are constantly fighting to prevent malware-ridden apps from invading their respective app stores and devices. Apple's iOS operating system has generally been considered more secure than Google's Android because Apple offers a tighter vetting process to approve apps. Also apple's stringent verification process makes it harder for developers to simply let in their apps to the Apple app store. A lot of verifications are initiated before a third party app is actually let in to be used by others.
