NBA Rumors: Charles Barkley 'Speechless' For Stephen Curry's Return
Upon his return to the hardcourt, the first unanimous NBA MVP Stephen Curry came out with so much vengeance as he turned his glorious comeback into an explosive showcase of pure talent with another NBA record to his name- 17 overtime points- leading the Golden State Warriors to an overwhelming Game 4 victory over the Portland Blazers. Describing what he saw, TNT sports analyst Charles Barkley just simply went speechless.
In the game, one can literally see many jaws dropping as he rained a couple of three-pointers into the basket plus a number of incredible passes and lay-up shots thanks to his slick ball-handling.
Apart from his overtime record, his 40-point explosion throughout the entire game just left many observers including TNT host Charles Barkley speechless as he tried to stitch back his thoughts together.
"That was . . . that was crazy. That was unbelievable...This guy, man, the debate about who is the greatest shooter . . . I think that's pretty much in the bag," a clearly speechless Barkley as he stammered in his postgame analysis, Mercury News reported.
Other TNT analysts including Shaquille O'Neal were pretty much in awe after going through the game tape that highlighted Trail Blazers fourth quarter meltdown.
"With normal guys, when they come back after a couple weeks it takes you a game or two to get it going. It took him a quarter and then once he got it going he said, 'I'm back!'" said O'Neal as quoted by Oregon Live.
Aside from the TNT analysts, Curry's unbelievable hardcourt performance sent everyone into frantic madness and even made Blazers owner Paul Allen drop his jaw, which later became a viral gif meme, Fox Sports reported.
The Golden State Warriors will be heading out to Portland to face the Trail Blazers again for their Game 5 showdown at Oracle Arena this Wednesday.
