Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Release Date, News and Rumors: Smartphone Will Have Blackberry-like Interface

Blackberry's mobile handset's future looks increasingly gloomy as the tech company increasingly becomes a pariah in the smartphone industry. Its Blackberry 10 seems to have lost touch in recent trend among high-end smartphones but one particular feature in the phone will reportedly find its way to Galaxy Note 6.

The Blackberry Hub is rumored to be the source of inspiration for the Samsung Focus- an integrated communications system that seamlessly organized communication platforms and other related services under a one-stop-hub. Plainly speaking, users will a have single location from which they can access their messages, view calendar invites, and deal with other notifications.

As per Sam Mobile, Focus' offering options which include view and responding to emails from different accounts also bear resemblance to Google's Inbox app although it's not yet clear whether the app will work with Gmail or with Android's default email service which became defunct alongside Android 5.0 but still retains presence on Samsung's mobile devices.

What can users expect from Samsung Focus?

According to Phone Arena, Focus is rumored to create a unified inbox for multiple email sources which is pretty suitable for users who find juggling different email accounts too taxing. Under that same roof, users are able to access their calendars and memos. Furthermore, expanded viewing options may include not just the staple temporal sorting but also contextual groupings which, for example, enables users to view all items linked to specific tasks on their to-do lists.

What makes this rumor quite interesting is that sporting a Hub-like feature into Focus is very un-Samsung to say the least. The graphical user interface seems to have deviated from the usual designs that people often associate Samsung apps with.

Meanwhile, Focus is purportedly slated for release along with Note 6 phablet's July 1 launch as it takes on its rival Apple's highly anticipated iPhone 7 release around September this year according to Value Walk.

Apart from the Hub-like Focus, Galaxy Note 6 is reportedly armed with powerful enhancements with Snapdragon 823 processor coupled with a generous offering of 6GB RAM. Its other features include an OLED display screen plus an extended battery life.
