Xiaomi teases their Mi Max ahead of Launch
It's now pretty obvious that all the leaks have pointed out to Chinese firm Xiaomi about the possibility of a new hardware from their side. Ahead of the launch at the company's Tuesday event, Xiaomi CEO Jun Lei has shared new photos of the smartphone Mi Max.
However, with very much no information in terms of spec sheet, not much can be speculated from the photosbut it might come with capacitive buttons at the bottom of the display. Lei, the current CEO of Xiaomi, is seen sharing three Xiaomi Mi Max images which feature completely different background colors. This pretty much sums up the fact that the possible colour variants of the smartphone maybe blue, pink and the last being gold. However, it's to be noted that this is not the first teaser since the last one featured a slim build of the phone.
Xiaomi were also supposedly to launch its Mi Band 2 wearable at its Tuesday event as well but the CEO later mentioned that the launch for that specific product might be delayed by about a month. There might be some insights of the product however, at the time of launch of the Mi Max with possibility for pre-orders or something like this. Alongside the new hardware launch Mi might also announce the MIUI ROM called MIUI 8. The company had recently come out with the changes users can expect with the new custom Android ROM. But Xiaomi loyalists are very much hoping that it isn't based on KitKat at least for now. Regarding the product launch, as aforementioned nothing can be estimated as of yet not even on paper. But we do have some good news. The smartphone was recently listed on the website of the Chinese telecommunications certification authority Tenaato complete with images and specifications. The phone seen in the listing's images match the teased images, down to the capacitive buttons below the display. The Tenaa listing also indicated fingerprint sensor.
Specifications gained from the Tenaa listing indicates that the Xiaomi Mi Max phablet will sport a 6.44-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display. Powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor, the smartphone is set to launch in two variants, 2GB of RAM along with 16GB inbuilt storage and 3GB of RAM having 32GB of inbuilt storage. Other specifications also reveal a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera powered by a 4000mAh battery.
