Khloe Kardashian-Lamar Odom News And Update: He Defends Her Even Though She's Disappointed With Him

Khloe Kardashian was in for a bit of public flak after she showed some photos and videos of Lamar in her 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' show. The reality star, 31, had in October 2015 snapped her husband as he lay just next to his near-death experiences, and now those photographs are out in the open.

However, one person who stoutly defended that she had helped Odom get better was her estranged husband himself, the 36-year-old NBA star. He said he had asked her to show them in public.

 "Lamar's not tripping on those photographs. It is what it is," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "Thats what really happened to him and those images are part of his journey to a full recovery. Lamar pushed Khloe to put those images out there because it's a reminder of how close he was to death. Lamar may not be the most outspoken public figure, but he does hope that people out there who see him clinging to life in those images think twice before making a decision that could land them in that hospital bed."

She had taken the photos in October, and showed them to the public with his support and agreement.

The couple really seem to be in love still, though it's like a yo-yo relationship---blowing hot and cold all the time. Khloe is still cut up with his latest drinking binge.

It began last Sunday afternoon. Lamar Odom was photographed at the Beverly Center, swilling what looked like alcohol.

Khloe Kardashian did not refer to it directly. But she tweeted: "SMH" and then "Hummmmmm... People disappoint" a few hours later.

A fan who had tweeted about her loss of a brother due to drinking got this response from Khloe: "I'm so sorry 4your loss," wrote Khloe. "I personally understand how hard and difficult situations like this are. Constantly ups and downs."

Though it is six months since Lamar nearly died of a drug overdose at a Nevada brothel, Khloe has been very supportive throughout his recovery. Still, there have been many frustrations that she has gone through.

So Odom was caught on Easter Sunday, March 28 too. He was photographed drinking inside Johnny O'Brien's, an Irish pub in Sherman Oaks, Calif. Oaks. She was "obviously" unhappy about him drinking at the bar, still, she understood that he had to drink with his friends, so she gave up.

"He wasn't trying to hide it from her," the source said. "Khloe is really trying to help Lamar get his life back but doesn't want to make him feel like she's controlling him or make him feel suffocated. She continues to support him through the recovery process and, since he does have a history with addiction, she is worried but isn't going to intervene unless it turns into a problem."

Yet, a number of sources had said that he was still serious about remaining sober, and is not getting back to drinking.

"Lamar has no issues with drinking," one insider said. "He is well aware of what he is doing and he is not going to f--k it up. Khloe supports him and is still taking care of him. She is really pleased with how well he is recovering."
