A highly speculated June launch date for the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is approaching, accompanied by a slew of reports that have suggested Apple latest could cost less than previous MacBooks at launch.

The revamped version of MacBook Pro is likely to be powered by the Intel Skylake M processors that promise more power, better energy efficiency in a smaller form-factor. An indication that Skylake is a winner for device makers is the revamped MacBook, which Apple launched last month with Skylake. The laptop received appreciation for its design and performance.

Both 13-inch and 15-inch variants of the MacBook Pro are expected to arrive in similar proportions with core i5 and i7 processors. There are slim chances that Apple may also provide a novel touch keyboard given a patent that surfaced earlier this year.

Apple's competition, Dell and Hp had launched Skylake versions computers earlier this year. Microsoft was among the first adopters of Skylake but its Surface Pro 4 faced problems including battery draining in sleep mode and heating which Microsoft fixed with a fix.

The yet-to-be-released laptop has made news in the recent past after Apple cut flab o the MacBook, speculation over the price of the device is grabbing more attention. Several reports have claimed the laptop would cost less than its predecessor, which would be at odds with what Apple conventionally does; a new model replaces the older one at higher or the same price. For instance, MacBook 2016 was launched at the price of last year's MacBook.

More importantly, all fingers point to Apple unveiling the device at the Worldwide Developers Conference scheduled June 13-17.
