WWE News and Rumors: WWE Star Ryback's Negotiations With Mr.McMahon Included a Rather Interesting Demand
Last week news broke that WWE star Ryback had been sent home from WWE Raw after the wrestler failed to come to an agreement with the chairman of the company Mr. Vince McMahon regarding his new contract but now it has emerged that the star had been asking for not only an improved contract but something else that the company does not include in its contracts. Now, everyone knows that the WWE wrestlers travel throughout the duration of the year in order to be present for shows in which they are scheduled to perform, including the different Pay Per View events and the weekly shows but the company does not pay for the hotel accommodation of the wrestlers. However, during his discussion with Vince McMahon, the wrestler insisted that the company should pay for the hotel costs when he travels with the company throughout the duration of his next contract. The duo could not come to an agreement since apparently it is not in the company's policy to pay for hotel costs and the star went back home instead of participating in WWE Raw.
Following that event, he posted his thoughts in a blog post
"Today I sit and fly home and for the first time in years feel absolutely free. I will start by saying I did request to be taken off of WWE television until myself and Vince could get a yes or no on a new deal. ......Wrestling is pre determined, we as performers know before we go out to that ring or perform a backstage scene who is winning and losing etc or have a general idea of what we are going to say. It blows my mind how in a sport which is pre determined from a company standpoint winners are paid so much more than the losers. Every single person who works for WWE from top to bottom is absolutely just as valuable as the next. The winners cannot win unless the losers go out there and agree to lose to them."
It seemed that he wanted equal pay for equal work irrespective of star power but now it seems that the real bone of contention might lie somewhere else.
