As everyone knows, Arsenal do not have a striker who can well and truly be called world class and the absense of such a player has made it difficult for the club to impose themselves on the biggest games. In top level football, goal scoring chances are few and far between, however Arsenal strikers have been guilty of fluffing them time and time again, which is why the club are now preparing a bid for Liverpool's English striker Daniel Sturridge this summer. It would certainly be a sensational move if it does materialise since Sturridge is without doubt one of the most gifted strikers in Europe but his repeated problems with injuries have made it impossible for him to really kick on for the Liverpool for two seasons now. Additionally, there have been rumours that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is fed up of the player's injury issues and feels that it is difficult to plan for a season with a player who is so unreliable fitness wise.

Arsene Wenger is a long time admirer of the player and feels that now is the time to put in a bid for the player as he seeks to bolster his striking options after spending years pursuing world class strikers who did not eventually come to Arsenal. Sturridge has now started playing regularly for Liverpool and helped the club reach the final of the UEFA Europa League, however accordign to plenty of reports all is not well between him and the manager, which is why a move to Arsenal could be an option for the player.

Arsenal had earlier tried to buy Luis Suarez from Liverpool back in 2013 with a bid amounting to £40 million + 1 pound, in order to trigger his release clause butthe Merseyside club simply refused to sell him and in fact, the relations between the clubs have been strained ever since. However, it seems that Arsenal are quietly confident about this move and the addition of Sturridge would greatly improve their prospects next season.
