Robert Downey Jr. News Update: Reveals About His Past Relationship with Sarah Jessica Parker

Robert Downey Jr.'s recent revelation on his past relationship with Sarah Jessica Parker was one of the trending topics for fans as he appeared as a guest at Sirius XM's show, 'The Howard Stern Show.'

According to reports, Robert opened up with his relationship with Sarah in the show as the show steered to the subject of Robert's past relationships. The duo dated each other from the year 1984 to 1991, but their relationship could not stand the test of time. The couple split due to Robert's extravagant drug and drinking problems.

However, Downey himself had revealed in one of his interviews in 2008 that it was Sarah, who helped him get rid of his bad habits. However, the efforts that were made didn't seem to work out.

He further revealed that during their dating years, Robert, Sarah and Kiefer Sutherland shared a residence. And, when Robert and Sarah were having trouble in their relationship, it was Sutherland, who gave a shoulder to cry and support to Sarah.

The couple called it quits and inspite of being exes, their closure was quite clean and convenient. In order to settle things, Robert went on to a trip to New York, where the duo spent some quality chit-chat time, and settled things to closure.

Reports suggest that addition to Sarah Parker, there was another woman who did gain popularity in Robert's life - Gwyneth Paltrow (his on screen love interest). This, fortunately, has not caused any turmoil in his personal life. His wife, Susan Levin, is fine with his on screen sessions and engagements with Paltrow as both of them - Paltrow and Susan are close friends as well. Robert has stated in the Howard Stern Show, that Paltrow is his 'free pass' and his wife is neither jealous nor hesitant of such an on screen display of romance between the duo.
