Fallout 4 News and Rumors: What the Far Harbor Trailer Can Offer So Far
Trudging through Fallout 4's nuclear wasteland while doing an Easter egg hunt and slaying monsters along the way are just some of the franchise's best-selling points. With two expansions already launched this year, another DLC is set for release on May 19, this time in a fictional area reportedly off the coast of Maine called Far Harbor, hence, the DLC title.
As per Engadget, the third DLC is Fallout 4's biggest to date. A YouTube official trailer has just been uploaded and a press release that describes the extent of the expansion's landmass. For easy comparison, the area won't be as big as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's Shivering Isles DLC but it sure does have wider ground to explore than Dawnguard.
In the expansion, gamers will go on a quest with Valentine's Detective Agency to work on an assignment involving a search for a mysterious woman in a colony of synths off the coast of Maine in an island riddled with extremely high levels of radiation. As per CNET report, here is the official synopsis of the DLC storyline:
"In Far Harbor, a new case from Valentine's Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?"
As players go through the map, there will be more quests to take on, creepy places to uncover, and settlements to discover. Also, a plethora of dangerous creatures will test gamers of their survival skills. To aid players in their assignments, high-level weapons will be deployed alongside good armor while cracking the case.
As mentioned in the synopsis, the expansion will involve going to a colony of synths. As described by Techno Buffalo, synths are robots with human resemblance that often play a quite important role in Fallout 4's main storyline. The questline, as the synopsis mentioned, also involves dealing with a cult labeled as the Children of the Atom.
The latest add-on will cost $25. For those who already purchased the $50 Fallout 4 DLC pass, the new expansion is already included.
