‘Survivor’ Review and News Update: "Now’s the Time to Start Scheming” Brings out the Bully in Tai Trang
This season of 'Survivor' has given us an interesting case study in the form of Tai Trang. The audiences have seen him transforming from a simple-minded person to a nasty player and then again into a hero, redeeming his misdeeds. And the latest episode again brought the focus on the 51-year-old gardener, showing him in a negative light.
According to reports, Tai is becoming like Jason and Scot and it felt as though staying with them had had its effect on him. He played like a bully and was quite dominating (in an unsavory way) as he no longer feels threatened by his enemies who are very much out of the game. After the immunity challenge, he wanted his new alliance to vote out Michele.
Cydney understandably objected as Michele is her trusted ally and he changed sides just because she does not like to be ordered. So, when Tai blurted out in those few seconds from the water, Cydney felt as though he was being bossy. The miscommunication had serious repercussions and Tai's will prevailed at the Tribal Council. Cydney was miffed and complained how it is Tai's way or the highway.
Michele was also enraged with his idea and was not too keen on being voted out. She threw Tai under the bus and screamed how untrustworthy he was, turning on every alliance he has ever been. Now this is when the bully inside him came out.
He told Michele on her face that she was never even part of the original alliance and shut her down. However, she stuck around for Aubry and Joe sided with Cydney and together they voted out Jason. But this might prove to be harmful for Cydney as well as Michele.
And the same holds true for Tai too, despite being touted as a strong contender to win. The two girls are certainly against him. Add to it the animosity from other contestants. Looks like the table might turn on the bully in the next episodes according to Stephen Fishbach. As of now, it proved to be a loss for Jason who was voted out from the game.
