‘Descendants of the Sun' Cast, News & Update: Song Joong-ki, Song Hye Kyo Dating Secretly

"Descendants of the Sun," a famous Korean TV series has come to a close, leaving fans wanting for more. The lead actors, Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo revealed that they were made to speak some English dialogues that was very hard for them as they are not native speakers of the language.

English dialogues enforced on Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong-ki in "Descendants of the Sun" series was a difficult experience for the stars. However, it allowed the show to gain far wider reach outside of Korea and China. In order to gain entrance into the international market, the producer made the stars speak some lines in English. 

However, in an interview, Song Joong-Ki and Song Hye Kyo confessed that it was very difficult for them to speak in English.

"There are some English conversations that I didn't speak fluently, so I have to improvise," Song Joong-ki said. The actor also added that he hopes the viewers enjoy the show, even the part where he speaks in English.

Song Hye Kyo had to to enlist help from professional doctors so that she could learn medical terms in English for her dialogues on the show. "There were a lot of professional words and I didn't know them. But the doctors instructed me a lot," she said.

Not only did the onscreen pair struggled to speak a few lines in English but also tried to keep a secret that they are already a couple. Many fans and the show enthusiasts have speculated that the "Descendants of the Sun" stars are in a relationship after their Dispatch cover photo surfaced online.

Dispatch, a Korean publication, is a popular magazine that is known to expose secret relationships between celebrities in Korea. Despite all the rumors, the stars have remained silent on the matter and have not issued any public statement.
