With only three weeks to go for the finale of 'Dancing with the Stars,' speculations are rising about the winner who will take home the Mirrorball trophy.

According to reports, model Nyle DiMarco is the favorite contestant among speculators and he along with partner Peta Murgatroyd are slated to win the trophy at the finale. As for runner-ups, Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy are the favored names.

The reasons going in Nyle's favor are his rocking performances throughout the season and the large fan base that votes for him in huge numbers. But there are also strong currents in favor of Ginger Zee. She is also a great dancer and has been working for ABC's Good Morning America, which has made her quite popular.

Reports suggest that Ginger can give a good competition to Nyle, but will have to work extra hard to bring the focus on her. Nyle seems to have stolen all the limelight with his sobriety, charm and cool performances. All these factors have strengthened his position and made him a winner material.

Pity votes are said to be another solid factor to have tilted the scales in his favor. He is the first deaf dancer on the show and has earned loads of compliments from judges and fans. Fans have been showering their votes on him and thus, it seems very probable that he will find it a cakewalk to bag the trophy.

But still, pity votes do not seem to apply in Nyle's case as it did in the case of Noah Galloway during Season 20. The former U.S. Army soldier, who had lost his left arm and left leg in the Iraq War, was able to sail through the contest and made it to the finals just because of the sympathy votes.

Nyle is different. He is talented and works hard which is why people and the judges love him. So, if he wins, it would be on sheer merit. What is more, the model has got stiff competition too, not just from Ginger but from Wanya and Paige as well.
