iPhone News And Rumors: Apple Reboots Ad Campaign For Mother's Day
Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has recently uploaded an interesting Mother's Day ad on YouTube called 'Shot on iPhone'. As opposed to the conventional narrative common to previous Apple ad campaigns, the new one focuses on Mother's day and consists of a montage of snaps and videos from Apple users thematically crafted together in a 30-second-long video.
The touching video follows two recent iPhone 6S commercials released last week and highlights the current flagship's 4K camera and Touch ID feature. The ad simply titled 'Mother's Day' contains a series if images and videos that symbolize motherhood with scenes showing various life stages of a mother from giving birth to a child to raising kids. Each customer-shot picture and video has the user's name below it.
As per CNET report, the music behind the 'Shot on iPhone' Mother's day ad explains "I am who I am because you are"- a touching emotional rendition that surely sends everyone feeling teary-eyed.
According to Apple Insider, the campaign started out in March 2015 in an effort to boost one of iPhone's main selling points- the camera quality. Although other tech rivals obviously have largely caught up in the camera race, iPhones continue having highly positive reviews among tech buffs and reviewers with iPhone 6 and 5S identified as the most popular smartphone cameras on Flickr.
In the past, Apple's campaign ad mainly consisted of print, media, and billboard ads. With the 'Shot On iPhone' series, the company has taken on a more personalized way of advertising.
Recently, the tech company has been churning out a number of ads at a fast pace. Just last week, the Silicon Valley titan released a pair of videos about Earth Day and renewable energy efforts. The 'Shot on iPhone' campaign was restarted last February and even won a top prize at the Cannes Grand Prix festival, 9 to 5 Mac reported.
