WWE News and Rumors: Much Expectations Awaits For Dean AmbroseNow That Seth Rollins Is Recuperating
Seth Rollins (still recuperating from an injury) has always been The Authority's highly favored centerpiece of the WWE storyline since 2014 alongside another former Shield Member, the now sensational Roman Reigns.
The third Shield man that should have been equally given limelight should have been Dean Ambrose. But for some reason whatsoever, Ambrose seems being intentionally packaged as the odd man out in the team. While Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are receiving some good old promotional help from WWE's creative management, Ambrose seems to have been getting his fair share of crowd adulation without the help his fellow Shield members unfairly received.
Looking at his recent matches, he seems to be relegated to unimportant roles, the kind of freak shows instead of booking him for events that would prep the guy to be WWE's next top dog.
"It must be noted that he is very obviously in a much better position than many other men who also deserve a higher spot and while WWE could use him better, he still has an integral featured role," wrote WWE observer Nicholas Marsico of Rant Sports.
So it does make a lot of sense for Dean Ambrose to beat Chris Jericho at WWE Payback event or else he'll become the next poster boy of losing, a kind of destiny Dolph Ziggler is currently fitted in.
"Even though Ambrose has been arguably WWE's top overall performer since Seth Rollins was injured last fall, the creative team has made him a perennial loser, typically using him to put over other stars at the expense of his own push," wrote Blake Oestriecher of Forbes Magazine.
Fortunately for Dean Ambrose, he did just that. A well-praised performance that would rehabilitate his reputation as comeback kid who also knows how to win instead of losing.
As per Business2Community, Ambrose defeated Jericho at Payback as both took their comic feud in an interest in-ring bloodbath. Hopefully, this event should catapult Ambrose to the heavyweight championship level. With his current popularity, he can be WWE's top 2 baby face but before he gets to that point, he must have big headline matches to get a shot at the title belt.
