Just a month after Pokémon Go is field tested in Japan, Niantic invited the gamers in Australia and New Zealand to test the beta version of the game. However, fortunately or unfortunately, a footage of the popular game has been leaked online, much before its official release.

In this 9-minute video, the players will be able to see "Pokémon Go" beta gameplay footage and the gamers now have a decent idea of what it actually looks like. Players were also introduced to how wild Pokémons are being collected.

Even though the initial plans were to release more information about the game at GDC in March, the plan didn't work out as Niantic Lab, game developer, was focused on the beta tests and its subsequent launch. But as the game video leaked, there are a few interesting things that can be pointed out.

According to the leaked footage, new monsters cannot be collected through fighting. If players want to capture the Pokémon, they can do so by hitting them with pokeballs in the right spot.

The video also shows a player strolling in real locations with an interesting twist to egg hatching in "Pokémon Go."

By the looks of it, the players will also be able to customize Pokémon characters. It can also be seen in the video that customization options include gender, eye color, hairstyles, face type, clothing as well as other accessories. There are also rumors that new "Pokémon Go" will have more extensive customization options.

Another thing that the leaked footage revealed was a demonstration of how gym works, the Pokedex, trainer progress and finding the items. In Pokedex, it is hinted that the players might accumulate more than 30 different Pokémon. The players will also learn about their abilities and strengths and how to train them.

The game will reportedly release on Android and iOS platforms sometime this year.
