Miami Heat Rumors: Is Chris Bosh Coming Back Or Not?
Since the pivotal Game 5 homecourt loss to Hornets last Wednesday, the Heat now faces a real prospect of getting wiped out from the playoffs when they head to hostile Charlotte territory in Game 6. Unfortunately, Chris Bosh won't be around to give Wade a helping hand leaving the leadership role of team on the court almost entirely to him.
The question looming in everyone's mind is why?
Bosh seems healthy to play as he showed every intention to get the Heat's management listening to his plea. He even showed up for some of the Heat's game against Charlotte even appearing on the team's bench at one point. The top brass remained unconvinced though as insisted on prioritizing his health above anything else. Unfortunately, this difference of opinion between Bosh and the management has turned into an open rift that has increasingly turned into a public mess lately.
As result of Heat's seemingly rigid stance, Bosh and his wife took the social media to lobby for sympathy and support as he reaffirmed his keen desire to get back as soon as possible. Again, Heat didn't budge.
"The difference of opinion between Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat regarding his treatment and potential return from blood clots, which has been playing out behind the scenes, has finally gone public...For months now, both the Heat and Bosh have maintained a code of silence publicly. The Heat has been the more cautious party, making it known behind the scenes that just because an outside doctor clears the 11-time All-Star, it doesn't mean the team will be comfortable letting him play," Fox Sports reported.
As reported by ESPN, Bosh's wife Adrienne is seemingly active in campaigning for her husband's return to the game by gathering as much public support on social media from Miami folks and elsewhere. She also #BringBoshBack hashtag on Twitter to discuss on how much fans miss Bosh in Heat's match-up series with the Hornets. Even Bosh posted a video of himself shooting balls at the basket with the caption that says, "Still got it."
Even teammates felt Bosh's immense desire to get back to court despite repeated refusal from their employer.
"He didn't talk about [how badly he wants to play]," teammate Goran Dragic said as per Miami Herald. "But you can see it. He's emotional like he's playing. He knows we were working hard for this the whole season. Everybody understands he wants to be [out] there, and we want him to be there. But sometimes it's tough because he's such a competitor he wants to help us. It's hard to be on that sideline."
But what difference does it make if Bosh comes back or not?
The main concern that Heat has is his health status. His recurring blood clot is a major source of apprehension. Besides, since his absence from the game, Bosh hasn't had active NBA minutes in two months which could seriously hamper Miami's changing gameplay well into the playoffs, and possibly, the finals. Before that could happen, they should get their game straight first by kicking Hornets out of the best-of-seven series.
