Fans just can't get of the Power Rangers nostalgia as the five-man team in colored spandex tight suits is going in for an interesting reboot with scenes reportedly shot in Vancouver, Canada. The revival is a joint production of Lionsgate and Saban Films tinged with 21st Century twist.

Photos have so far circulated on social media with the famous 'It's Morphin' Time' logo and the feel-good suits, giving fans the a nostalgic walk down the 90's memory lane.

Recently, Elizabeth Bank appeared quite villainous as she fitted quite well in Rita Repulsa's costume. Minus the oversized horns that she used to have some 20 years ago, the villain in the Power Rangers reboot is coming back looking green and mean...literally!

The forthcoming and highly anticipated revival of the superhero team cult classic is something Banks feels so excited about while immersing her role as quintessential antagonist who plans on conquering planet Earth.

"I've never played a villain before...It's definitely a modern and edgy re-imagining of the original Rita Repulsa. We wanted to give her a backstory that connects her to the new Rangers," said the Pitch Perfect star as quoted by People Magazine.

How different will the new Power Rangers be?

"Well, it certainly looks as if the new Power Rangers film will be distancing itself from the '90s version. The old Repulsa couldn't be further away from Banks's new rendition...Known for her ornate headdresses and Asian-inspired style, Rita Repulsa is clearly being taken in a darker direction by Lionsgate Films," wrote Tom Chapman of Movie Pilot.

The villain looks incredibly mean with her green headgear while projecting fear with her sharp golden talons. Meanwhile, the reboot has a cast made up of Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger), Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger), Ludi Lin (Black Ranger), and RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger) as per Movie News Guide report. The film is expected to hit the theaters on March 24th next year.
