Bates Motel Season Update: Norman Returns Home After His Uncalled-For Withdrawal From The Institute; The Plot Changes As Norma And Sheriff Are Married

Bates Motel came up to the expectations set by the audiences when it aired 'There's No Place Like Home' on the 25th of April.

The episode builds up when Norman and Dr. Edward are slowly getting along as part of their therapy sessions. With frequent blackouts and the transformation to his disassociations further unravels as he tries to create a doctor-pateint bond with Dr. Edward.

Gradually winding up the fourth season, Norman will eventually get to know his mother's recent marriage to the town sheriff, building agony and generating the game of jealousy which will form a triangle of love, indulging Norman to play a game of jealousy.

Things took a turn when Norman came across a newspaper cutting which featured the marriage of sheriff Alex Romero and his mother Norma. The situation is, however, not fully accepted by Norman allowing him to plot for his withdrawal from the institute. Norman then calls Norman and plans for a confrontation, but rather the call is received by his step dad, making things worse.

Norman institutionalisation suddenly comes to an end, despite the efforts of Dr.Edward and Norma to withdraw him out of his misery.

Meanwhile, Romero and Norma are bonding as new husband and wife. The former confronts that she wants to redecorate the house, but admits that she lacks money for doing so. Romero, steps in as a good husband and reveals Bob Paris's ample amount of money, which he offers to spruce up the house as Norma desires.

The further episodes will set out how Norman is obsessively attached to his mother and getting to know that she has married might be the bone of contention.

There's no place like home will be followed by Unfaithful. According to their official synopsis

"Norma is torn between Romero and Norman now that her son has returned home. Norman realizes how much things have changed while he was at Pineview, and he does not like that one bit."

Bates Motel airs Monday nights at 9/8c on A&E.
