‘Dancing with the Stars’ News Update: Jodie Sweetin Rocks the Floor Despite Ankle Injury
'Dancing with the Stars' is one reality show that is known to bring out the best from participants. The viewers have seen incredible performances in many seasons and actress Jodie Sweetin gave us one more in the sixth week.
She really nailed it and what was commendable was her drive to push the envelope and emerge victorious despite her ankle injury. Neither did the physical pain daunt her, nor the demanding performance. She and Keo danced with great élan on Pink's famous track "Try". It didn't ever occur once that she was injured.
But if the rehearsal video of the week is any indication, it is not difficult to understand the amount of pain she endured to bring out the fighter inside her. The 34-year-old actress says in the video that she does push herself and she keeps going even if she is injured or hurt.
She was heard saying that the dance was tough as it involved gravity-defying lifts and poses that need immense physical strength. She likened it to a gymnastics routine and said that her injury made things difficult. She was worried because it was causing pain during the rehearsal.
Nevertheless, she carried on as continuing on the show mattered to her more than anything else. She further stated that she could handle pain and had faith that no matter what, the body would heal.
Now this is really the spirit of a true dancer and it brought her gains and compliments in great measure. The mind-blowing performance left everyone awestruck. The crazy crowd cheered with delight and the judges also responded with flattering comments.
Carrie Ann Inaba acknowledged the struggle the duo underwent and said that it made their performance seem very real. She praised her thoroughly for transforming the pain into something artistic, beautiful and dynamic.
Bruno Tonioli was also impressed and said that she nearly gave him a heart attack. He appreciated her magnificent moves and said that even professional dancers would find it tough to give such a performance on that number. The judges awarded her a total score of 25.
