NCIS Season 13 Update: Cote de Pablo Will Not Be Returning To Assist Weatherly's Exit From The Show
Stay tuned for an upsetting yet stressful season finale of American crime based drama serial NCIS.
With fans gradually accepting the fact and acquainting themselves with Michael Weatherly's withdrawal from the show, things have been quite different since then. Expecting the upcoming episodes to be synonymous with a roller-coaster ride, fans are yet to experience the undreamed farewell of the well-groomed DiNozzo.
May 17's 'Family First' will be DiNozzo's last time to display his Special Agent's skills. And when things couldn't get any worse, Cote de Pablo reveals that she won't be revisiting to shoot the remaining, last scenes with Michael Weatherly!
It was speculated that the frontmen are wondering how to initiate a process of disappearance for Weatherly and some anticipated that Weatherly should exit with his former romantic partner Ziva David.
But appears like this situation will not be soon featured as producers have to consider another theme to depart the character of DiNozzo from the series. Will he be killed or start away with his own team, only time will tell!
In an interview with TV Line, the executive producer of the CBS based wonder, Gary Galsberg teased and revealed what they he planned for DiNozzo's departure.
"We established early on there were choices that Tony was going to be making as he's looking at his career... He's going to find himself at a bit of a crossroads, with some significant issues to deal with," he said. "People should absolutely be planning on some really serious, heart-wrenching moments. There'll be tissues involved. I'm very proud of the emotional resonance of what this is, even in terms of what we're filming right now in the finale," he said.
In order to fill the cast-vacuum created by Weatherly's exit from the series, the producer also hinted that they might welcome two new characters in the show. However, there have been no confirmations regarding it, fans might get to see new faces in the upcoming chapters.
"I really wouldn't read into that. There are two actors and two characters that we were intrigued by and interested in working with, and we'll have to see where it goes. But no, it wasn't about subtracting in one pool and adding in another," he explained.
"NCIS" airs on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS. The season finale will air on May 17.
