Chelsea's transfer activity is going to be the talk of the summer due to their determination to build a new team that would be able to compete on all fronts for years to come and according to latest reports, they are poised to raid fellow English Premier Club Everton in the summer for two of their most important players. The British publication The Daily Star has reported that the West London club are going to place bids for Everton's young defender John Stones and their star striker Romelu Lukaku, who had joined Everton from Chelsea in the summer of 2014 in a record breaking £28 million deal.

Romelu Lukaku was brough to Stamfrod Bridge from Belgian club Anderlecht back in 2011 but he could not find a place in the first team and after a series of loan spells, he was sold to Everton in 2014. However, since movint to Everton in 2014, he has become a goal scorer par excellence and has scored a total of 45 goals across al competitions so far. He is currently one of the highest goal scorers in the Premier League and is regarded as one of its most promising stars, which is why it is not a surprise that Chelsea not want to take him back to West London.

Lukaku has stated that he would like to play for a club that regularly challenges for the big honours in football and Everton's disappointing season despite the Belgian's heroics has put the ball in his court. Everton, however would not want to part with their star player just yet and the fact that Chelsea do not have a buy back option on the player has made their position stronger regarding any approach. Chelsea however believe that a substantial bid, amounting in excess of £50 million will be enough to bring the player back to Stamford Bridge and the transfer fixers at the club are working over time to make sure that the transfer is completed as soon as possible. The club are also looking to tie up a deal for Everton defender John Stones at some point in the transfer window.
