NFL News and Rumors: Tim Tebow Petition To Bring Back Former Denver Broncos QB Receives Over 2,600 Supporters
NFL Rumors have been surrounding around the draft coming in just one week. During this time fans are looking forward to who the NFL teams will draft.
But recently there has been more focus on the former NFL player, Tim Tebow. It appears that a Tebow fan made a petition to get the player back on the Denver Broncos.
The pledge was made on change.org. It has now reached over 2,600 supporters, with a goal of 5,000. Just a few weeks ago, it had only 440 signatures.
The description highlights the fact that the team lost two important quarterbacks. Because of this, it's almost as if it's a no-brainer that the Broncos should bring back Tebow who has the "fire, desire, and love for the game," the petitioner states.
"The Denver Broncos have lost their two main quarterbacks from their epic 2016 Super Bowl Championship winning season. We need a proven winner to continue to move this team in the right direction," the petition describes. "Coach Gary Kubiak's offense would thrive with Tebow under center. He and the legendary John Elway can make this happen. We dont need a subpar throwaway from some other team, we need an original Bronco who has the fire, desire, and love of the game to play as a Bronco again! As a bonus the Bronco fans would be ecstatic! He just wins, we all know this! #TebowTime"
News reporters have also sighted that though he has had some fallbacks, his leadership skills and mobility are a great plus.
Digital Journal reports, "Tebow led the Broncos to the playoffs in 2011 and while his accuracy has been an issue, his leadership and ability to make big plays has never been questioned. Despite a slow throwing motion, interceptions have never been an issue and his mobility might be just what this team needs to feed of the success of last season."
Tebow also had also played for the Patriots in 2014 and Eagles in 2015.
