The Blacklist Season 3 Spoilers and News: Is Elizabeth Keen's Death Final?
Hit crime drama TV series 'The Blacklist' gave fans a cold shock after last week's episode that featured the death of Elizabeth Keen, the show's lead character. As expected the forthcoming episode is likely to show how her death would affect Raymond Reddington as he mourns over her tragic death.
Following her death, Reddington is reportedly going on a mission to lend a hand to a mysterious woman who is trying to escape from her attackers as the Episode 19 titled 'Cape May' reads. Furthermore, he is also expected to reflect on what went on the day Elizabeth died inside the ambulance while giving birth to a baby she had with Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold).
According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, Aram Mojtabai (played by Amir Arison) said the forthcoming episode will revolve around Reddington's attempt to get a hold of himself as he tries to make amends with his past while grieving over his colleague's recent death. Episode 20 will feature the group heading out to the funeral.
For the uninitiated, Liz has been seen faking her death numerous times. While killing off main characters are a staple among seasoned series writers, questions remain if the same strategy works well with 'Blacklist'.
In an alternative theoretical setting, Broadway World offers another explanation for her Liz's death. Actress Megan Boone is reportedly trying to stay dead until her maternity leave expires, allegedly to keep her loved ones (especially the baby) away from harm's reach of those who want her dead so badly. Season 4 could bring her back to life once more if the rumored storyline proves accurate.
On the other hand, Cinema Blend has all the reasons to believe that she won't be coming back for good. Her death would Tom's perfect excuse to get away from Red, who is pretty much hostile to Tom, and try to live a peaceful life with her baby daughter Agnes. Ryan Eggold, is reportedly working on a spin-off with NBC.
Liz is also believed to reunite with Tom in the NBC-spinoff but as of press time, the network has not issued any statement either confirming or denying the spinoff rumors.
